Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Ericksonian Hypnosis
from the book "Training Trances"
Six days
The material in these courses will be identical to the material in the Hypnosis courses which John Overdurf and Julie Silverthorn taught through their company, Neuro-Energetics.
With your enrollment and deposit, you will receive the Basic Hypnosis Course on MP3 entitled Hypnosis I, which you may listen to in advance, so that you are well prepared when you join us. The Basic Course explains how to do hypnotic inductions; how to create the best hypnotic and posthypnotic suggestions; the U trance diagram; and common misconceptions with reframes for those clients who are not familiar with Hypnosis, along with much more! Listening to this is all that you need to join us in the Intermediate & Advanced six day class!
INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED ERICKSONIAN HYPNOSIS
This six day training begins with the hypnotic approaches of Milton Erickson, M.D. as modeled by John Overdurf and Julie Silverthorn. The research and original material taught in this training, is the basis for their book Training Trances: Multi-level Communication in Therapy and Training. It also includes advanced models which Julie and John have created for emotional and physiological healing that utilize purely unconscious processes for change. This is a no nonsense training for those interested in deepening their competence in using hypnosis personally and professionally. Many graduates credit this intensive training with integrating their understanding and use, of not only hypnosis, but also NLP.

Hypnosis Trainer's Training and Certification
6 days Including Certification
This training will give you what you need to present powerfully successful hypnosis seminars and trainings. You'll benefit from Julie's extensive experience and research into the art and science of training. This course will teach you what to teach when, how to do it and why you're doing it, and model it while they are teaching you! Truly a Training Trance in multilevel communication. This course focuses solely on how to teach hypnosis and is quite different from Neuro-Energetics' NLP Trainer's Training. In fact, it's a perfect compliment to the Trainer's skills taught every year at Neuro-Energetics' NLP Trainer's Training held yearly in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.
The Trainer's Certification Evaluation is a one day process held for those interested in becoming Certified Hypnosis Trainers. Here you'll receive some of the most valuable feedback you'll ever get in your training career.
Course content:
1.Creating a Hypnotic Training Context: How do you set a friendly and professional hypnotic atmosphere that will make your trainings run smoothly?
2.Indirect and Direct Hypnotic Inductions: How do you weave didactic teaching and question and answer segments into hypnotic inductions? What are the best group inductions?
3.Group Elicitation and Utilization of Classical Hypnotic Phenomena: How do you use classical hypnotic phenomena to accelerate learning and skill development?
4.Doing Demonstrations: How do you pre-select and test demonstration subjects before they actually participate in demonstrations?
5.Presentation and Platform Skills: How do you engage a mixed audience of lay people and professionals? How do you use congruence and incongruence to casually create trance?
6.Training Design: How do you structure your training so that it gets the results it promotes?
7.Teaching an Intro: What should you teach and what shouldn't you teach in an introductory course? Outlines of introductory seminars are provided for you.
8.Ethics: What are the most important points and what are the most effective ways of teaching them?
Certification Evaluation (Day 6)
This is for those who want to be certified as Hypnotherapy Trainers. Each participant will present a 30-45 minute segment of an approved topic which would typically be a part of a Hypnosis training. Successful completion of this presentation is the final prerequisite leading to certification.
What Are The Prerequisites to Hypnosis Trainer Certification?
1. Certification as a Certified Hypnotherapist by IHS or previously certified by an approved Institute or Association. IHS fee: $150. USD for one certification; $250 USD for two certifications. This is a one-time only fee; there are no yearly renewal fees.
2. Certification as a Master Hypnotherapist by IHS or previously certified by an approved Institute or Association. IHS fee: $150. USD for one certification; $250 USD for two certifications. This is a one-time only fee; there are no yearly renewal fees.
3. Certification as a Practitioner of NLP
4. Certification as a Master Practitioner of NLP
5. Successful completion of Hypnosis Trainer's Training
Those participants who do not yet have the above criteria may enroll upon acceptance by IHS; and upon satisfaction of the above criteria, the participant will then receive their Certified Hypnosis Trainer Certificate from IHS
All IHS Certified Trainers must be both a Certified Hypnotherapist and a Certified Master Hypnotherapist, prior to certification. These certifications may be from Trainers or Institutes, other than IHS. If the prospective Trainer does not yet have these credentials he/she may submit a written review to IHS during the training with the appropriate fee, so that all the requirements for Certification as a Hypnosis Trainer are met.
